Privacy policy
What we collect, and what we do with it.
The short version: we only ask for what we need to quote and do your job, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to correct or delete it.

Who we are
Goanna Plumbing Pty Ltd (ABN 55 162 045 356, QBCC licence 1256060) trades as Goanna Plumbing. This policy covers this website, our phone and email enquiries, and the work we do at your property. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
What we collect
- Enquiry details. Your name, phone number, email address, suburb and what you tell us about the job.
- Photos. Any photos you attach to the enquiry form or send us afterwards.
- Job details. The property address, access arrangements, and photos, camera footage and notes we take while doing the work.
- Agency details. If a real estate agency or property manager raises the job, the tenant and owner contact details they give us so we can arrange access.
- Website usage. Basic, non-identifying information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, the type of device and roughly where visitors are located.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry, quote the work and book it in.
- To do the job, report on it and invoice it.
- To meet our legal obligations, including lodging notifiable work with the QBCC.
- To keep a record of the work done at a property, so the next visit starts with the history.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to keep in touch, and we never sell them.
Who we share it with
- The agency or owner responsible for the property, where they raised the job or need the report, photos or invoice.
- Regulators, where the law requires it, such as the QBCC for notifiable work.
- Service providers that run our systems: email, website hosting, the service that delivers the enquiry form to our inbox, job management and accounting software, and website analytics. Some of these providers store data outside Australia. They only receive what they need to provide their service to us.
How we look after it
Enquiries arrive in our business email, which is password protected and limited to our staff. Job records are kept in our job management and accounting systems. We keep records for as long as we need them for the work, for warranty and for our tax and licensing obligations, and then delete or de-identify them.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] or call 0425 433 123. We will respond within 30 days. If we have to keep something, for example an invoice we are required to retain, we will tell you why.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first so we can fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
